AN ELEGANT WEDDING MARQUEE

A beautiful marquee fit for an elegant wedding set in the stunning grounds of Weston Manor Hotel, Oxfordshire.  Designed, built and decorated to work in harmony with the gardens, maximise natural light and seamlessly transition from formal wedding ceremony to a party in the evening.

Whilst every event is completely bespoke, this section aims to outline how we interpret a brief, the equipment we suggest and a guide to the costs. We try to be clear about what we provided and what was supplied by the client, party planner or other contractors.

THE BRIEF

Our client wished to hire a marquee to host a stylish wedding for 150 guests held in the beautiful gardens of Weston Manor Hotel, Oxfordshire.  The marquee itself required space for the wedding ceremony, dining and dancing later in the evening.

The marquee also needed to provide everything they needed for the day by way of power, catering and washroom facilities.  So our plans needed to include power from a generator, luxury loos and an additional catering tent.

THE PLANS

After a site visit to assess the grounds and requirements or our clients, we planned to build the marquee on the lawn adjacent to the Manor with an entrance pavilion to include greenery as guests then entered into the ceremony/dance area of the marquee.

We decided on an Ivory Pleated roof lining & Ivory flat walls with two clear gables to maximise the natural light and provide the “outdoors” feel our client wished to achieve.  These were complimented with stunning Crystal chandeliers and trees between the dining tables.

The ceremony area (daytime) was transformed into the dance floor area (evening) with a stylish room divider used to separate the two areas of the marquee.

THE BUILD

The final marquee was 12m x 30m which took us 2 days to build.  The first day we laid the wooden floor and main structure and second day involved finishing the interior, hanging the pleated roof and wall linings, as well as positioning furniture.

We also installed outside lighting to illuminate the pathway to the loos, which were positioned to the side of the Manor.

THE TEAM

We liaised directly with the clients Wedding Planner, Isobel Lamplough Weddings, to co-ordinate and achieve their bespoke wedding marquee with support from the Manager & team at Weston Manor.
